{"id":343,"date":"2026-03-15T21:25:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T01:25:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/eaod\/?p=343"},"modified":"2026-03-15T21:25:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T01:25:51","slug":"four-successful-advancements-at-winter-war-as-60","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/eaod\/2026\/03\/15\/four-successful-advancements-at-winter-war-as-60\/","title":{"rendered":"Four successful advancements at Winter War AS 60"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cousins, it delights me to report that Winter War challenges were successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following nobles advanced to the rank of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/eaod\/about\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"16\">Scholar<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gwynn of Eoforwic (previously Vince of Eoforwic) &#8211; who received his AoA that day!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Henry Foster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>William Rigson of Monadh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following noble advanced to the rank of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/eaod\/about\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"16\">Free Scholar<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arcill beg mac Ruadr\u00ed big mic Sithig<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the day, to support Lord Arcill&#8217;s challenge to Free Scholar, I asked HLord Ge\u00f6rg Stauffer, OTH, to fence alongside the free scholars present who were myself (Genevieve la flechiere) and Mr Eyrny, plus Master Albrecht as Dean, so there were a mix of challengers for Arcill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thank yous<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>to the many academy members <\/strong>for showing up to provide a suitable challenge for the candidates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to Master Giovanni d&#8217;Enzinas for marshalling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to Mistress Lucia d&#8217;Enzinas for tracking results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to HE Gerrard Carpentarius for witnessing the challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m grateful for many skilled combatants outside the academy including His Majesty Tristam, who joined during the open field time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His Majesty presented the scarves to the candidates on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My thanks to Lord Edric Crowe as marshal in charge of fencing for Winter War, for making time and space for the academy to conduct challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next challenges: Lady Mary Memorial Tournament<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming soon &#8211; sooner than you think!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Master Albrecht is in charge of fencing for the <a href=\"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/barony-of-rising-waters\/lady-mary-memorial-tournament\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ealdormere.ca\/barony-of-rising-waters\/lady-mary-memorial-tournament\/\">Lady Mary Memorial Tournament in Rising Waters <\/a>and will reserve time for the academy to do challenges should we wish it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For advancement in the ranks and growing skills in Ealdormere, WASSAIL!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cousins, it delights me to report that Winter War challenges were successful.
