Making a Stone Cabochon by Hand. Cancelled
This is a hands-on class, in which, not only the stone, but all the materials needed, from start to finish, are supplied.
You will be provided with instruction on the process, and guidance on shaping, and finishing.
The goal of the class is that, after initial shaping, you are allowed to work at your own pace and, with my help, you end the event with a high gloss finished cabochon.
You will be working, throughout the event, with finer and finer grit sandpaper on your stone, but this process is one you can take with you; to other classes, or back to your own camp.
Your work on the stone, aiming for a high gloss finish, continues throughout the entire event, as I will make myself available for consultation, and aid in advancement, for most of each and every day, at my own campsite.
Because FOOL is always such an amazing event, filled with so many wonderful activities, I realize that some may not find the time during the weekend to arrive at the final, high gloss, finish the class is aiming for. Because of this, I am offering those participants who show they have worked on their cabochon, but just haven’t had the time to finish it, the opportunity to seek me out and reach the class goal at other camping events in the season.
