Frustrated Anachronist’s Questions

Do I have to sign up for classes?

No!  Some classes have a limit, signing up for one of these classes reserves your spot. Even for classes that don’t have a limit, when students sign up, it lets the teachers know people are interested in their class. Some classes have materials, hand outs, kits, and by signing up, the teachers can better plan what to prepare.

Why can’t I buy my ticket?

SCA rules prohibit groups from taking electronic payments. Therefore, the event staff have not set up the required information to enable ticket purchases through ConPlanner. Paying for your ticket in advance is not required, you can still sign up for classes and pay at gate on the day.

Don’t I have to buy my ticket in order to sign up for classes?

Nope!  You just have to create the attendee, and you can start signing up.

How do I sign up for classes?

First, go to “ticketing”, yeah, you can’t actually PAY for the ticket, but it is here that you create an attendee.  Put in your name (mundane or SCA, doesn’t matter), add a tag line (because Constance loves to see them, not because you’re getting a badge), and your age.  The age field on your attendee will be compared to the age limits on the classes, so try to keep your age under 99.

Next got to find activities.  Select the class you want to join, choose the attendee to join it (useful when one person is signing up for a whole family), and then click join.

Do I HAVE to have an account on ConPlanner?

No. If you are against it, unable, or having technical problems, feel free to contact Constance directly, she’ll add you as an attendee under her account and sign you up for the classes you want. If you don’t already email/DM with her regularly, you can use any email address on the main page.

When does registration close?

We’ll shut down registration on February 13th, to allow the Stewards time to download the class lists and prep/print them for the event.
