Septentrian Baronial Selection 2024 – Meet our candidates!

As announced in November, the candidates to step forward for the Septentrian Baronial High Seats were THL Brendan Hunterson and THL Jehanne de Bretagne.

About our Candidates:

Brendan of the Hunterson is the second son of 13 th Century Scot clan enjoying heavy combat,
leather making and especially archery. Seeking fortune and fame on his own right as a second
son does, he proudly travel in search of challenge to his skills, not shying away of mercenary
cause if the price is right, earning distinction and fame from multiple kingdom of the known
world especially for his archery but also for being the quiet shield wall of Ealdormere. A born
and raised Ealdormerian from Petra Thule, Brendan has been an active member of the SCA for almost 20 years and has served the Kingdom, his beloved Septentria and his native Canton in multiple
functions while enjoying dwelling into martial, service and A&S for his own enjoyment. He is a
member of the order of Thorbjorn’s Hammer and a Member of the Order of the Wain.

Jehanne de Bretagne is a 12th Century daughter of a merchant of Sant-Maclou in the Duchy of
Britanny. Jehanne enjoys a wide variety of domestic A&S skills revolving around her beloved
bread oven and fibers related skills although she enthusiastically embraces archery and axe
throwing. She is an active member of the SCA since 2010. Her nomadic ways have brought her
to be part of three kingdoms, starting in the beautiful barony Castel Rouge in Northshield, the
coast of the shire of Bastille du Lac in Ealdormere, to her short but memorable stay in the barony
of Havre des Glaces in the East Kingdom and finally back to her chosen roots, her family and
THL Brendan back to Ealdormere. Over these three Kingdoms she has held a number of offices
and been autocrat, feastocrat or more simply taking care of her chosen family camp at events.
She is a member of the Order of the Crucible and the Order of the Wain.
