Jan 21, 2024 Meeting

It was a lovely gathering yesterday. We enjoyed tea and cookies, kinship, and conversation. Penda worked on a leather belt pouch, Wulfric brought his tablet weaving of never ending black trees, Rey brought research and a sketch pad for the tunic he is working on, Sibylla worked on a linen tablet woven band, and Alex learned to quick warp a tablet weaving loom as well as started her tablet woven band in cotton. Alex also learned to weave a flat braid on her weaving fork.

We discussed the Museum demo, hoping to get more people to attend.

We talked about some ideas for Brouhaha including a discussion about dogs attending the event and what would be involved to try that idea again. In the past we had some issues. We talked about our concerns and what could be done to ensure the safety of both the dogs and the people attending the event. We also discussed some dice game ideas and stamping tokens. Penda talked about building an outdoor forge area as a spring project so that it could be ready in time for Brouhaha.

Our next gathering will be February 4, 2024. Please bring the things you are working on. If you have something you need help with, just let us know and we will do our best to get you going.

Until next time, cheers!

– Sibylla
