April 21, 2024 Meeting

We enjoyed a lovely gathering with chocolate chai tea yesterday. We all dug into our projects while we listened to the business side of things. Janet has a plan worked out for those who troll in at Baron’s Brouhaha. She also worked on a new veil. Penda fixed Rey’s sewing machine, yay! and had all of the exchequer paperwork ready to go and got it signed by Seneschal Wulfric who worked on some tiny lamellar armor. Lots of lacing! We read resumes to be better informed while putting our votes in for the next Kingdom Law Speaker. Wulfwynne worked on her nalbinding, a shall perhaps? Rey worked on his Hogom tunic…almost done, I think. Alex worked on an epic knitting project, a scarf telling the tale of “Here and Back Again.” Sibylla re-learned herringbone stitch…honestly, one would think when someone does so much of something that one would remember how to do it… anyway, it’s happening on a short cloak. Some of us discussed camping plans and tablet weaving supplies. An order will be going in as soon as we work out some details.

Our group badge submission seems to be going well and is now at the Kingdom level for review.

Our next gathering will be May 5th. With Mexico in mind, we will start at noon this time and encourage those who can make it to bring along some lunchy-type snacks to share. We can do a separate post to discuss what we are bringing so that we have lots of different Mexican inspired dishes to taste.

Until next time

Cheers! Sibylla
