Now that we are somewhat recovered from our wonderful camping trip and gathering at Weirmeir Lake, it’s time to recount some ideas that were shared but first I would like to thank everyone who attended Alex, Freya, Raynor, and their two children, Dyson and Evelyn, Penda, Sibylla (that’s me) including our newcomers, Martine, Mike, and Matt. We all enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts, Wulfric and Wulfwynne along with James, whom, without their trusting family ties, we would not be able to enjoy such a tranquil location for all our activities. The potluck Saturday evening was delicious! There was so much food 🙂
On Saturday we enjoyed archery, throwing axes, crafting, and armored combat. We even got Mike suited up! We discussed some group activities that should be scheduled so that folks can make preparations.
We would like: arrow-making day, scrumpy day in October, armor-making day, other special crafting that we would like to see happen? We should also schedule our Solstice Celebration.
Dates for next gathering can be as follows:
September 14 and 21
October 11 or 12 (this is Thanksgiving but would be good to do the scrumpy day)
October 19
Solstice Celebration either Saturday, December 20th or Sunday, December 21.
It was lovely to see everyone who could make it out and looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.
