July 14, 2024 Meeting

We enjoyed ourselves immensely as we celebrated having the Brouhaha paperwork completed by Penda and Wulfric and sent off to the necessary places. While we sipped on Chocolate Chai Lattes, Wulfwynne Blackwood painted her hall banner, Alex learned how to sew the tablet woven trim she made onto her tunic neckline, and Fionn did some more sewing on his fancy coat (sorry, forgot the name again…). Sibylla (that’s me) worked on the neckline of my yellow tunic while teaching Alex how to finish hers. Once the paperwork had been finished, Penda, Wulfric and Fionn went out to the forge and did some experiments on the Brouhaha metal bloom. We learned lots but did not achieve a weld in the propane forge which was very surprising! Next experiments will be done on the coal forge outside.
The meeting continued with sampling the up-graded hippocras and mead. We discussed Brouhaha and what will need to happen for next year. More tables, finish the fireplace area, and build a new gangway with a gentler slope. That will be done in the spring of next year. A date has been set for June 20-23, 2025. We also divided up the loot gifted to us by Their Majesties.
Mark your calenders!
Next gatherings will be:
July 28, 2024
August 11, 2024
Solstice Feast will be Saturday, December 21, 2024

There are other gatherings left to be scheduled but Wulfwynne says that there’s no rush 😉

Cheers!
