March 10, 2024 Meeting

We enjoyed tea and a lovely gathering in the house yesterday as the wood pellet stove was having issues. Finn showed off his project, a completely hand sewn tunic. Wulfwynne worked on some nalbinding and some knitting, Aslief also worked on some knitting, Wulfric made notes for both the Museum Demo…that is this Friday and Brouhaha. Penda cut out another leather pouch and shared the progress on the process of cold casting bronze. He also handled Exchequer paperwork. James got into the modeling clay and had some fun making a very nice-looking frog and a few other wee things. Sibylla finished the circle dot tablet woven band that will be sewn onto a linen bag.

There was lots of conversation about Brouhaha and the ideas for the archery range for this year’s Lucky Number 7, as well as some games to be played in the Great Hall. More news on that later when we get it all sorted out.
We finished the gathering with a wee glass of the last of the hypocras. Need to make more of that.

Next gathering will be March 24, 2024

For all of you who can make it, see you Friday at the Bruce County Museum in Southampton.

Cheers! Sibylla
