- Special Hunt designed for the Cubs of Ealdormere! (coming soon)
Camping is “leave no trace” – There are no garbage bins on site – extra garbage bags will be available at Gate for anyone who needs them. Please be aware that there may be raccoons and coyotes in the woods, and store your trash accordingly!
Leashed dogs are permitted. Please be considerate and clean up after your animal – extra “poop bags” are also available at Gate.
There are two parking lots along the road into the camp area. Please DO NOT keep your vehicle at your camp. If the lots are full, there is some parking at the Gate House, and along the wider part of the road. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE CAMP ROAD, in case needed by emergency vehicles!
Access to the cliff above the lake, on the trail past the fighting area, is blocked. Please respect the fences, as the area is not safe! All trails are open.
Should you need help or have a request, site staff are wearing yellow and black sashes. Event Stewards and the Watch have walkie talkies, and there is a walkie talkie located in the Champcorbeau camp in case you need to contact them urgently.
The power access (near the long house) and water are marked on the map. Water is potable, and tested regularly.
Fire rings are available in all camps. The scouts request that we do not dig holes. The camps are on a ridge above a creek, and drainage is good.
Site is discreetly damp.
Gate Hours
The Gate House is located halfway down the road into the camp.
Open hours are from 3pm- 7pm on Friday August 8, and 9am-7pm the rest of the week. If you arrive outside of gate hours, please try to find a staff member (yellow and black sash) to assist you in finding your camp! If you come late, please register as soon as possible the following day, as there are important notices, supplies and site tokens for you!
