Greetings cousins from Genevieve
As discussed at last Trilliums War, please see the proposed charter (uses track changes) and the new proposed policy document.
The goal is to keep the charter relatively stable over the long term, and put any more changeable contents – things like weapons standards, or decisions about how we run the Academy – into policy, that can be more flexible and reviewed more often.
I’ve included a very broad DEI statement of our goals, aligning them with the Society’s statements. I’d welcome better wordings if you know them, or better models to draw on from other organizations committed to inclusivity.
Timeline
I’m publishing these docs 11 February 2024 (AS 58). They draw on the symposium discussion, and recommendations that came from that meeting.
I want to take about a month to review and let anyone respond to the changes, and propose adopting these documents on 15 March 2024.
