A letter from Baroness Aibhilin kennari fra Skye

Lady Mary Tourney

I have so much to say and so many people to thank!

First the Weather, it was spectacular!  Just the right temperature and sunny.  It was been so mixed lately, I was expecting snow, it did not happen, and right on cue the magnolia trees in our Barony were blooming.

I would like to thank their Majesties for attending and putting Baroness Annabelle Makmyllane (Sabrina Perrin) on vigil for a Pelican!  I would like to thank her for taking care of the Royalty room and our Merchants.

I would like to thank Sir Richard Larmer (Andrew Lowrey)  for running the Heavy list.  I would like to thank Taka for running the list table for both fencing and Heavy weapons. Thank you Master Albrecht Stampfer (David Stamper) for running the fencing tourney.  For thrown weapons Lord Guoillauc filius Brancu (Tristian Fassel) and his lovely partner Margaret, for taking care of the tourney.  To Magestra Nika Dmitrieva doch’ Zvezdina (Susan Carroll-Clark) for running Archery.  To The Baroness Gema Krasilni’kova (only one M, I really can learn) (Jennifer Hardie) for being our gate along with Valdr Jarnsmithr.  To Dùghlas Mór Mac Séamus for all his help with Heraldry.  To The Honourable Lord Ieuan ap Gwilym (Stuart Crump) for all the packing, unpacking and moving about of things.  To Jótun-Bjǫrn (Stephan Szeker), who despite having a bit of an emergency, once solved came back to help out with checking for covid vaccinations.  To Rhys of Anglesey (Christian Bernard-Brewster) for organizing Gold Key even though he could not attend the event.  Mistress Medb (Jackie Wyatt)  for the fibre petting zoo. To Lady Iydius (Lisa Beard) and her Husband Dave for helping set up and clean up and just being spectacular all day! I appreciate that every single person showed their vaccinations to us without hesitation, that they were understanding when they had to come find me for the lovely silver Heart Nuts to show that they were vaccinated.

I can not take credit for the weather that was all Baroness Sciath ingen Chaennaig (Trudi Crumpwright). I would also like to thank her for giving me Tancred Tankard!  That was amazing.  I was tired and had to sit down and people might not have understood how much it meant to me to receive that award.  I will not fill it with the sweet oh so very sweet concoction of coffee and sugar that Baron Tankard did, but it will likely have coffee in it and possibly some red wine!

Thank you everyone for a wonderful day. I know I missed people,  for that I am sorry, and your contribution was just as valuable as anyone named above.

YIS

Aibhilin
